Story of Theme

Hello, everyone! We are SPAS Magazine Club: WeUs! We were composed of 12 people and 2 teachers, Ms.Cat and Ms.Maria. Each of us serves a different job, such as writer, photographer, copy editor, etc. WeUs Magazine produces a distinctive theme for each volume of the magazine, the first one is Spring.

What is your first impression of Spring? We asked this question to SPAS students. Many will think of rebirth and awakening, or even the start of hope and vitality. SPAS students have more impressive ideas than that! We think of natural features such as grassland, soft clouds in the blue sky, picnic and spring breeze, budding trees and blossom flowers, or cute girls and sweaty shirts. We also think of the symbol of freedom, light, growth of new life, and challenges. When it comes to school life, some students write Mr.Aiello, the restart of school, and AP Exams. All of those realistic and terse words represent every students' impression of springtime. Spring can be a solace of doleful mood, can be a time to practice mettle, can be a madrigal with a pleasant melody, or can just be another mundane season of the year. Apparently, students see springtime differently. We can not only see that through their answers of the impression of spring but also the artwork and creation in this magazine. Let's enjoy the creations and join this carnival.

Now, it comes to our students’ works! Isn’t it excited to see how your students, teachers, classmates, and friends perform their talent on WeUs Magazine? We will have an Intro Video that introduces our theme of Spring and then is a historical Allusion is a part when we find past literature and make a connection to our theme. The artist feature uses a third perspective to describe a photographer’s work and character. MySPAS will relate SPAS life to the theme, Spring. Moreover, we will introduce the students’ works to you. Students are taking photos of Spring, and there’s an introduction of each photographer. Writers create stories and poems about rebirth and the hope of the future with teachers’ feedback and comments. Last, there will be some passionate artworks created by students in the “Passion” part, which shows student’s creativity about the school.
